Reproduction Art’s foundation began in the middle 1960’s via the art of
taxidermy; mounting mammals, birds and reptiles.
Since most animals have skeletons, requests for the original skeleton
of the specimen increased to augment the mounted specimen. A new facet
of preserving and presenting a specimen was challenged.
Working with the late Ross Allen, Herpetologist, Silver Springs, Florida,
a need for displaying reproductive casts of reptiles for identification
and educational use became a realization in 1974.
A career in Veterinary Science and with the College of Veterinary Medicine,
University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, presented a constant and
forthcoming learning experience. The development of observation to detail,
the importance of presentation and the educational values of ones work were
instrumental to the development of Reproduction Art.
Today, Reproduction Art combines it’s knowledge and ability to offer and
provide a service of high quality, lifelike reproductions of your selection.
We are grateful for the interest and assistance given by the many Institutions,
individuals and friends who have given their time, allowed the casting of their
specimens and shared their encouragement over the years.
